Terms of Use

1. Your account

• You must be 18 or over. Studentlytica AI is for adult learners.
• One account per person. Give a working email address and keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.

2. What Studentlytica AI does

Studentlytica AI helps you study from your own materials: a Tutor that explains them with links to the passages it used, study sets, practice tests and flashcards, a study planner and research tools for finding and analysing papers. Studentlytica AI is new and still growing: features may change, and anything marked "coming soon" is not yet available. We will tell you before removing a feature you pay for.

3. AI answers can be wrong

• Answers, summaries, questions, marking and paper analyses are produced by AI. They can be incomplete or wrong, even when they link to a source. Check important points against your materials and your teachers.
• Practice questions are not real or predicted exam questions, and AI marking is practice feedback, not a grade.
• Research tools only show papers they can find, and say when they could read only a summary. They do not prove a claim.
• Nothing in the app is medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

4. Use it to learn

Follow your institution's rules on AI. Do not hand in AI-generated work as your own where that is not allowed. You are responsible for how you use what the app produces.

5. Your content

• You keep ownership of everything you upload and write.
• You allow us to store and process it only to provide the service to you, including sending the parts selected for a task to our AI provider as the Privacy Notice explains. We do not use it to train AI models or share it with other learners.
• Only upload material you have the right to use for your own study. Do not upload other people's personal data unless you need it for your studies and are allowed to, and never upload unlawful material.
• Keep your own copies of important files. You can delete your materials and account at any time.

6. Rules for using the service

Do not:

• break the law, or upload or create content that is illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit;
• try to get around allowances, payment, security or the bot check, or access another learner's data;
• share your account, resell access, or use automated tools to copy, scrape or overload the service;
• try to make the AI produce harmful content, or use the service to build a competing product.

We may limit or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

7. Plans, payments and limits

• Plans: Free (GHS 0); Pro, GHS 60 for one month or GHS 200 for a semester of 4 months; Max, GHS 120 for one month or GHS 400 for a semester of 4 months.
• Every plan has fixed monthly allowances, shown on the Plans and billing page. No plan is unlimited. Allowances reset each calendar month (Ghana time) and unused allowance does not carry over.
• You pay through Paystack for one month or one semester (4 months) at a time. Nothing renews or is charged automatically. Your paid time starts when Paystack confirms the payment, and you can pay for the next month or semester before the current one ends. A semester gives the plan's monthly allowances in each of its 4 months.
• To keep costs fair, AI work may also pause when a monthly spending limit for your account is reached; it resumes the next month, and your saved work stays available.
• When your paid time ends without renewal you move to Free. Your saved work is kept, though new work then follows the Free allowances.
• Prices may change for future months. We will tell you before a change and never change the price of time you have already paid for.
• Refunds: if you were charged and no paid time was added, contact us and we will add it or refund you. Other refund requests made within 7 days of payment are considered case by case. A refunded payment ends the paid time it bought.
• Deleting your account ends any paid time left on it.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account (Account, then Delete account). We may end or suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and may close the service with at least 30 days' notice, refunding any paid time left.

9. Availability

We work to keep the service running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, slow or changed, and AI features depend on outside providers. We do not promise uninterrupted service.

10. Our software and brand

The app, its design and the Studentlytica AI name and logo belong to us. You may use the app as these terms allow, and not copy or reverse engineer it.

11. Responsibility

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused by relying on AI output without checking it, by content you upload, or by events outside our reasonable control. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ghanaian consumer law that cannot be limited.

12. Law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and disputes go to the courts of Accra. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will show you the new version and ask you to accept it before you continue. Questions: info@studentlytica.ai.
